UNESCO research shows that half of the total number of learners - some 826 million students - kept out of the classroom by the pandemic do not have access to a household computer, and 706 million have no internet at home.

I am proud to have worked with some of the leading voices working to close the digital divide.

Held in 2021, this event included leading voices in digital equity from world renowned non-profits and technology companies.

I worked with a team to conceptualize the event, organized the run of show, event promotion, streaming logistics, and long tail.

The event received over 20,000 views, and raised $20,000 for Parents Supporting Parents NYC, a New York City based organization that ensures students have access to the technology they need for modern learning.

Led digital creative strategy for the announcement of a Digital Equity Accelerator. My work for this project included high-level messaging, video scripts, static creative copy, and social strategy and deployment. I worked with a team of designers to bring the visual concepts to life.

This pilot program aims to ensure local non-profits in the United States, India, and Morocco have access to the funding and mentorship needed to address the digital divide.

In May 2022, I also worked on the promotion, run of show, and production of the Digital Equity Accelerator Livestream event, which included the live announcement of the winning cohorts.

Following the first BETT conference in two years, I worked with executives at a major technology company to produce a byline article.

This blog recaps the top trends in ed-tech in 2022, with an emphasis on how these tie into the transition to blending learning styles and the urgency needed to close the digital divide. The link for the published version of this article cannot be shared due to contract terms.
